Police confirm two teen pedestrians are dead after they were hit by a car in Sullivan County.
Officials say the incident happened on Glen Wild Road in Rock Hill Sunday afternoon.
Police say Isaac Kantrowitz, 86, of Woodridge, was driving a 2018 Hyundai Elantra when he hit Justin Finkel, 14, and Devin Zeininger, 16, both from the town of Thompson. Both teens were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Kantrowitz, a retired Town of Fallsburg Town Justice, remained on the scene.
Monticello Central School District Superintendent Tammy Mangus, in a statement, says the teens were a Monticello High School student and a former RJK Middle School student.
Mangus says support teams of social workers and school psychologists are available at both Monticello High School and RJK Middle School to help students with the tragedy.
