Two people were hurt in an apparent chain-reaction hit-and-run crash at the corner of Morris Avenue and East 170th Street.
Witnesses say a gold Honda Accord was speeding when it slammed into a black livery cab, which then struck a female victim.
They say the two men in the Accord tried to flee the scene on foot, but a good Samaritan ran one of them down. He was held until police arrived.
The female victim's condition is currently unknown. The cab driver was also taken to a hospital.
