A pair of Hudson Valley state senators have been named to a newly formed group tasked with recommending ways to combat antisemitism.
Sens. Peter Oberacker and Bill Weber have been named to the Anti-Semitism Working Group, which will hold roundtable discussions with community and religious stakeholders on the issue.
Last year the Anti-Defamation League found New York led the nation in antisemitic incidents and assaults against Jews surged to an all-time high.
In the end, the group will issue a public report, including legislative recommendations.
