2 honored in Irish American Heritage Month celebration in Westchester County

March is Irish American Heritage Month, and two Westchester residents received recognition for their achievements.

Westchester County legislators honored Yonkers Inspector General Liam McLaughlin and editor of the Irish Echo, Ray O'Hanlon, for their outstanding contributions.

The elected leaders said McLaughlin and O’Hanlon embody the Irish spirit and the Irish American experience.

Local leaders in Westchester County have declared March 4 as Ray O'Hanlon Day and March 8 as Liam McLaughlin Day.
