Two Orange County families are displaced after a fire tore through their homes early Sunday morning.
Officials say the four-alarm fire started at around 2 a.m. in the upstairs bathroom of a house on Schoolhouse Road, located a short distance from George F. Baker High School in Tuxedo Park. The flames spread to the house next door, destroying both of them.
The families managed to escape their homes unharmed.
Five departments responded to the blaze, and got it under control in about four hours.
Officials say the fire appears to be accidental. The exact cause is under investigation.
