4h agoA two-car crash Tuesday night in Putnam Valley left one person dead and three hospitalized.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office says it happened just before 9 p.m. on Wood Street near Meadow Crest Drive.
Authorities say a car driven by a 23-year-old Mahopac man was northbound on Wood Street when it crossed over into the path of a second car, which was southbound. It resulted in a head-on collision.
The Mahopac resident was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the second car, an 18-year-old Lake Peekskill man, along with a 17-year-old Putnam Valley female passenger were taken to Westchester Medical Center with serious injuries.
A 15-year-old female passenger from Putnam Valley was also taken to Westchester Medical Center with injuries.
