2 arrested in connection to Poughkeepsie shooting

Jan Michael Deere, 38, and Joseph Gonzalez, 46, are now facing assault charges.

Two men have been arrested in connection to a recent shooting incident in Poughkeepsie.
Jan Michael Deere, 38, and Joseph Gonzalez, 46, were apprehended yesterday and are now facing assault charges.
The arrests follow a shooting incident near 444 Main St. around 4:30 a.m. last Saturday.
City police reported that 34-year-old Jaquan Fryar was shot during the incident and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Deere and Gonzalez are currently being held pending arraignment, with additional charges pending.
