The 12th Nyack International Film Festival kicked off Monday night at Hotel Nyack.

This year is unique because it includes the world premiere of “Jimi Hendrix: The Documentary” with director and Nyack resident David Kramer in attendance.

“It's a great experience for everybody all around,” Richard Quinn, the executive director of the film festival. told News 12. “…The public needs more art in their lives, and filmmakers need more public in their lives – so this brings it all together.

The festival continues all week through Saturday. Tickets are available online.
