A rare $10,000 bill dating back to the Great Depression has been sold at an auction for a record price.
Heritage Auctions says it sold for $480,000, beating the previous record set in 2020.
The $10,000 bill was the highest denomination note to ever go into circulation.
There was a $100,000 bill, but it was only used to transfer money between federal reserve banks.
Due to the lack of use, currency in denominations of $500 or higher were phased out in 1969.
Since then, the $100 bill has been the highest denomination note issued by the U.S. Treasury.
