Police have a man in custody in connection to a fatal stabbing in Yonkers early Saturday morning.
The incident took place outside the Schlobohm Public Housing Complex just after 6 a.m.
Friends of the victim, identified only as David, said he was chased to the end of a walkway off Palisade Avenue by a knife-wielding man. They say he was then stabbed through the bars of a gate he had closed behind him.
David was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he later died.
His alleged assailant has been identified as Antonio Barnett, 22, of Yonkers. He has been charged with second-degree murder and is expected to be arraigned on Monday.
There was no word on what provoked the incident.
