1 dead in overnight house explosion in Dutchess County

Authorities say it happened around 8 p.m. at a home on Hoffman Road in Pine Plains.

A man was killed when an explosion destroyed his home overnight in Dutchess County.
Authorities say it happened around 7:30 p.m. at a home on Hoffman Road in Pine Plains
The victim has been identified as 61-year-old Lawrence Pariseau.
Police say 62-year-old Kim Dunn was rescued by a neighbor and firefighter and was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
County Executive Marc Molinaro posted a message on social media asking the community to keep the victim’s family in their thoughts.
