A fire at an Eastchester building claimed the life of one person on Sunday.
Firefighters rushed to put out the flames early Sunday morning on Main Street.
News 12 was told the fire was contained to the third floor, where first responders found the victim. They tried to save the person, but were unsuccessful.
News 12 spoke to Bill Harding, a former tenant of the building who used to have an office space on the ground level. Harding says he's still friendly with the landlord, and that the landlord told him there was a lot of damage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
