Yonkers Raceway Police Benevolent Association is making a $45,000 donation to two local charities this holiday season.
The group presented checks to Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley and the Blythedale Children's Hospital. Each organization will receive $22,500.
Officials at the organization say the money will help make dreams come true.
"During this holiday time--all these employees got together and decided they want to make wishes come true," says Thomas Conklin, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley. "Right now we're working on 150 wishes in the Hudson Valley, so their generous donations are going to make wishes come true for a couple of kids who are facing some critical illness."
