Dobbs Ferry man facing federal charges of illegal possession of firearms, ammunition

The defendant was previously arrested in 2000 and served two years in state prison.

A Dobbs Ferry man has been arrested for allegedly having numerous firearms and ammunition.
James Neff, 61, was arrested after search warrants were granted at his residence and two storage units, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.
Authorities discovered over 30 firearms, lots of ammunition and suspected explosive-related materials. They also found books on how to make homemade explosives.
Neff was previously arrested in 2000 and served two years in state prison.
