Communities throughout the Hudson Valley are preparing for a heavy dose of winter weather this week.
Some cleanup crews are concerned about the timing of Tuesday's storm - especially with the horrific delays caused by the big November storm that is still fresh in their minds.
It was all hands on deck at the Yonkers DPW facility on Monday where crews were hard at work prepping for the storm, and making sure vehicles were in top shape as they headed into snow battle.

News 12 meteorologists say there will be a mixture of snow, rain and sleet throughout the day Tuesday, with snow accumulations reaching 4 inches in some places.
Yonkers DPW Commissioner Thomas Meier says because it’s been a somewhat mild winter, they have the resources to handle it with relative ease.

“We've had seven events already where we laid down salt. Our budget is still in good shape. The mayor makes sure we have sufficient money to get through a normal to slightly normal winter,” says Meier.

Meier says if there's one thing that concerns him, it’s the timing of the storm because it could be active during both morning and afternoon rush hours on Tuesday.
He insists he's doing all he can to not allow a repeat of what happened during that November snow and ice storm that snarled Hudson Valley commuters for hours.
Meier has some advice for motorists. “Drive safely, leave plenty of time and if you don't need to work, then stay home from work,” he says.
