Westchester County is making a major push to make sure everyone is counted in the 2020 census.

County Executive George Latimer met with dozens of elected officials and organizations who will be on front lines to make sure residents are counted.

During the 2010 census, officials say Westchester was the ninth-hardest county in the state to count - with 76% of households not responding.           

Officials warn undercounting could mean less federal funding and potentially fewer representatives on the federal and state levels - all consequences that could hurt the county in numerous ways.

Census forms will be mailed out in March and are due back by April 1.

This year marks the first time in our nation’s history that the majority of census forms are expected to be collected online.
