Police have identified the victim of Sunday's fatal crash in the town of Palm Tree.

Police say Jacob Farkas, 26, of Palm Tree, was traveling eastbound on Karlsberg Road when his Hyundai Sonata crossed the road and went down an embankment. 

The car overturned and came to rest on its roof partially submerged underwater.

First responders extricated Farkas from the vehicle. He was unresponsive and transported to Orange Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Fire department personnel and underwater divers did not find any other victims at the crash site.

Jacob Farkus was laid to rest Monday.
