Teen jailed for alleged death threats to Sen. Clinton
A 19-year-old boy is behind bars Saturday after reportedly threatening to assassinate Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY). According to the arrest warrant filed against Richard Wargo, of Shreveport Louisiana, he allegedly threatened to commit an act of terrorism during the Democratic primaries in Baton Rogue that would be ?a national event." The Louisiana State University student allegedly asked a fellow LSU student if he wanted to burn down Clinton?s campaign headquarters. When the other student began to question Wargo?s logic, even saying it would make Clinton more popular, Wargo then allegedly responded, "True, but have you ever heard of a dead president?" Police say that is when the other student reported the threat to authorities. Wargo now faces charges of terrorizing and communicating false information of a planned arson. The threat comes only days after it was announced that Illinois senator and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is being protected by the secret service. Obama, who was in Scarsdale on Friday for a campaign fundraiser, requested security from the agency because of concerns about being a high-profile black candidate. Clinton already receives protection from the agency because she is a former first lady of the United States. Wargo is being held in jail on $1 million bail.
