A state of emergency has been declared in the Village of Montgomery following Thursday's severe storm.
All residents there are to shelter in place until 6 a.m. Friday.
Tornado watches were in effect for Rockland and Westchester counties, but have since expired.
Strong wind gusts brought down power lines and trees, causing power outages across the Hudson Valley.
