Three brothers with ties to Westchester are behind a series of videos campaigning against President Donald Trump.
Ben, Brett and Jordan Meiselas, who grew up on Long Island, say they came together during quarantine to start a political blog that has bloomed into a Democratic super PAC in a matter of months.
The tech-savvy brothers have created a small Democratic group called MeidasTouch and together produced a handful of videos that demonstrate their political frustrations.
One of their videos called "Creepy Trump" has gone viral since its release on July 8 and now has over 1 million views.
"For us it's about exposing Trump," says Brett Meiselas. "It's about exposing corruption and it's about showing that there is decency in the world, and that's a bipartisan issue."
Pace University associate professor Michelle Pulaski Behling says memes and videos shared on social media serve to strengthen a political base.
"Whether it's Twitter or Facebook or TikTok, people live on their phones," says Brett. "So we want be where people are delivering these impactful messages to the biggest audience possible."
The Meiselas brothers say that creating a blue wave in this coming election is their goal. They say they hope their contributions make a dent, even if it's a small one.
