A mother says her 8-year-old son was injured by an aide at his elementary school last week in Norwood.
Shamakia Boulden says it was inside P.S. 94 on Kings College Place where a school aide tried to discipline her son Zamir Zamer but took it too far.

Boulden tells News 12 that Zamer was playing soccer at his school last Friday when he accidentally hit another student in the face with the ball.
She says he apologized but that school aide Kendoll Curet dragged Zamer by the arm through the school yard and cafeteria, hurting his arms.
Boulden says she is upset about her son's injuries and that she wasn’t notified until 3 p.m. – about four hours after the incident occurred.
Police confirm that 28-year-old Curet has been arrested.  A Department of Education spokesperson said in a statement in part, "The safety of our students is our top priority, and this school aide was immediately suspended without pay when we were made aware of this allegation."

Police say Curet has been charged with one count of assault and that they are still investigating exactly what happened.
