Children and teens may not be looking forward to hitting the books, but probably will enjoy hitting the racks for some new clothes for the new school year.
 Rocking your freshest outfit on the first day of school is a must and with the help of News 12 and JC Penney, finding the perfect outfit is easier than ever.

"We're really focused on having contemporary styles and things that are in fashion at a value price," says Marcos Avellan, general manager of the JC Penney at the Mall at Bay Plaza. "We have a lot of backpacks for example, both character backpacks with imagery from Disney and from comics. Plus, we also have the big brands.”

There are tons of trendy options to choose, from backpacks to clothing.

"We also have products that are positive messaging especially for the girls,” says Avellan. "In style also for young ladies is you're looking at denim, jeggings, all the different cuts, all the different styles."
 
For the boys, JC Penney says comfort is key.

"Tees are very popular with the young men and also, denim, flex denim. Very stretchy, very comfy,” says Avellan.

Many students may have to wear uniform, but that's covered at the store as well.

"Right now we have buy one get one free on the uniforms. We have it for young men, and we have it for boys and girls,” says Avellan.

The managers at the retail store say they see their biggest rush is during Labor Day weekend.
