CORNWALL -

A small town in Orange County is joining the growing debate on whether or not to ban Airbnb rentals.

Travelers heading to Cornwall are taking advantage of booking their stay on sites like Airbnb. Hosts who rent out their homes in Cornwall say business is booming, and now the growing practice is on the town's radar.

Supervisor Richard Randazzo says the town isn't looking to ban Airbnb, but is considering regulations that include registering rentals and having routine inspections.

"We should know where the Airbnbs are, who's in the business and what's going on," says Randazzo.

Airbnb hosts say if the town implements regulations, it will hinder what they do.

Town officials say their decision on the future of Airbnb will be made in the next few weeks.
