A local baseball player is set to make appearances this weekend in the Major League Baseball’s Junior Home Run Derby.

Luke Green will compete against nine other players this weekend.

He became a finalist from winning a tournament in Pound Ridge, and then won two hit-offs in Cranston, Rhode Island.

When asked how it felt like to be representing New York, Green said that he’s proud to represent his amazing town and “all that everyone's done for me.”
