VALHALLA -

A woman is accused of assaulting a Bee-Line bus driver in Valhalla.

Westchester County police say the incident happened at a bus stop on Emergency Drive, near Westchester Medical Center.

Authorities say the woman demanded to be let off at the entrance but the driver explained the bus needed to reach a nearby stop. The suspect allegedly verbally threatened the driver before using pepper spray on the victim.

The driver was left with a burning sensation in her eyes and difficulty breathing. She is expected to be OK.

Police are still searching for the woman.
