Police: 6-year-old struck by car, recovering with minor injuries

SLOATSBURG -

A six-year-old boy is recovering after being struck by a car in Sloatsburg.     

The incident happened in front of a home on Waldron Terrace on Saturday.

Police say the child was riding an electric scooter in his driveway, when he ventured into the street. They say that's when he was struck by a Toyota.

The 26-year-old driver was given a ticket for speeding and driving an unregistered car.

The child was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
