Newark police have arrested the man they say stole an officer's body camera.

Dwayne Small of Middlesex is now charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

According to police the officer was wearing the camera when the 45-year-old suspect pushed it off his vest.

It happened on the 900 block of Bergen Street just before 4 p.m. Friday.

Details on Smalls' first court appearance have not yet been released.
