Ossining opts for gender neutral bathrooms in gov’t facilities

The Village of Ossining has begun the process of adding gender neutral bathroom signage in government facilities.

"It's a simple policy that sends a strong message that Ossining welcomes everyone,” says Ossining Mayor Victoria Gearity.

Gearity says the triangular signage was taken directly from California, where there are already gender neutral signage laws in place.

The signage has already been put up at Village Hall.

Gearity says there was a little bit of negativity, pushback and misinformation out in the social media world.
