A New Rochelle family got a double dose of destruction during Tuesday’s storm when trees fell on their house and car.
Robert Morris says the storm brought down two massive trees on his Longvue Avenue house and his wife's Lexus SUV.
Morris says he was on the phone with his wife, who was at the house during the incidents.
"She called me when the tree fell on the car, and while I was on the phone with her then I heard a crash in the background. She screamed,” he said.
He says she screamed because a second tree went through the attic, leaving a gaping hole and rainwater coming in.
Morris tells News 12 that the city of New Rochelle is working with him to remove the tree on the home as quickly as possible. He says they are waiting for an arborist to show up to assess the damage from the other tree.
