A Stamford mother faces charges for allegedly threatening violence against her daughter's school.

Tanisa Hudson, 32, is charged with first-degree threatening and breach of peace for allegedly saying that she was going to shoot up Dolan Middle School and burn it down, according to court documents.

Police say Hudson made these threats to a worker at the Department of Children and Families after she was reported by the school for issues regarding her daughter's attendance.

Court documents stated that Hudson called the DCF on Monday and said she was "going to jail for attempted murder."

She also said "I'm going to kill all those... I'm going to shoot up the school and burn it down."

Hudson was released on bond, but is prohibited from owning guns or being on any Stamford school property.

Parents say they learned about the incident from the media, not from the school. They say the only email they received from the school said that administrators couldn't give any information because the police investigation is ongoing.

Police increased their presence at the school yesterday as a precaution.

Hudson goes before a judge next month.
