A Newark mom gave birth to her baby in the car on the way to the hospital, and it all happened with her two children in the back seat.

Ezra Thomas Byrd was born in the front seat of Christopher and Evonna Byrd's SUV, with Christopher still driving, determined to get to the emergency room as quick as possible.

"That whole experience, I think, makes you look at life in a different way, and to be more appreciative of what you have," Christopher Byrd said.

The couple said they were a team delivering the baby, and they’re giving many thanks to the staff at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, who came running out to help cut the umbilical cord.
