The winter storm made it difficult to get around the Sound Shore Thursday.
News 12 witnessed car accidents on the Hutchinson Parkway, buses struggling to navigate New Rochelle's snow-covered streets and pedestrians laboring to get from one place to the next.

The hard part for pedestrians was that many sidewalks were not cleared.  Once people trudged through the snow, they also had to deal with the wind.
Still, many residents across the Hudson Valley had to brave the elements to make it to work.  That meant slow going on the slippery roads.
One UPS driver kept his mind focused on his mission at hand.
"It's not really hard, the snow, it doesn't stop me really. People need their packages and I want to make money today," he said.
