Westport police arrested a woman driving the wrong way on the Merritt Parkway Friday night.

Authorities say they saw a car traveling southbound and trying to enter the northbound ramp at Exit 41.

An officer cut in front of the car to prevent it from getting onto the ramp.

Police say they arrested Gina Heckel, of Fairfield, for driving under the influence.

She's also facing narcotics charges. 

Heckel is scheduled to appear in court next month.
