PELHAM -

The body of a soldier from New Rochelle whose life was tragically cut short returned home Tuesday.

A single military dog tag hung from the casket of Army Pvt. Da'quan Foster as National Guardsmen from the New York Army National Guard brought his body to Pelham Funeral Home.

Foster was fatally shot multiple times while he and his wife tried to escape an altercation they weren't involved in outside a nightclub in Tacoma, Washington.

His wife was injured but News 12 is told she is going to be OK.

Foster's body will remain at Pelham Funeral Home as his family makes wake and funeral arrangements.
