Police identify victim in fatal crash

YONKERS -

The victim in a deadly crash in Yonkers on Saturday night has been identified by authorities.

Police say Nina Cordero, 19, from Yonkers, died after being thrown from a car that rolled over on Central Park Avenue on Saturday night.  Cordero was transported to Lawrence Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The driver and another passenger in the car suffered non-life threatening injuries. The driver’s identity is being withheld pending formal charges.

Police are still investigating but say speed was a factor in the accident

Cordero is survived by her parents and siblings

A GoFundMe page has been created to cover her funeral expenses.
