Gas prices soar to just under $3

Filling up the gas tank has gotten a lot more expensive in recent weeks. Try 54 cents a gallon higher than just nine weeks ago, according to a new national average.

?I think it?s getting outrageous,? says Paul Kral from Yonkers.

In a survey of more than 350 stations, the Westchester Consumer Protection Department found that gas prices across the county, ranging from $2.85 to $2.95, are consistent with the national average.
