Furniture group expands operations for flood victims

A local organization is stepping up to help Westchester families who lost furniture during last week?s heavy rains and flooding. Furniture Sharehouse is donating slightly used furniture to those who lost belongings in last week?s storm. The non-profit group usually takes referrals from agencies that deal with clients in desperate need of furniture. However, with so many recent flooding victims in Westchester, the company is ready to help even more people.

Organizers say the Furniture Sharehouse donations are a win-win situation. People who donate furniture get tax relief. People who are in need get basic furniture.
