6 busted for New Rochelle prostitution ring
New Rochelle police arrested six people in a prostitution bust including a couple running the brothel out of their home in an upscale residential area.
Police said the homeowners, Robert Werner and Heather Mazzenga, were arrested and charged with promoting prostitution. Four women were also arrested and charged with prostitution.
Some neighbors said they suspected something was going on at the house. David Saperstein reported recent activity at night but not during the day. Others said they saw a number of cars parked in front of the house during the evenings.
Police said they had been investigating the home, but have not released details of the probe.
The homeowners will be arraigned in front of a judge at New Rochelle City Court. The four women posted bail and have been released.
