Clinton fans rally around her as she comes home to NY

Supporters of Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) rallied around her as returned home to New York from the campaign trail Monday night.

The senator taped an appearance for the ?Late Show with David Letterman? in Manhattan on the eve of Super Tuesday. Clinton fans from all over flocked to the streets surrounding the television studio to catch a quick glimpse of her.

Supporters came from as far as Alaska and some said they had followed her around the country throughout the campaign.

New York is the second biggest Super Tuesday prize with 280 delegates. Clinton remains far ahead of rival Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) in New York, but he has closed the gap in other states. National polls are predicting a neck-and-neck race Tuesday.
