A fire sent a Yonkers bakery up in flames Friday morning.Officials say the three-alarm blaze started around 3 a.m. at the Birrittella and Mancini Bakery on Willow Street. According to fire officials, the blaze broke out on the first floor where the baking is done.Fire officials say employees first tried to extinguish the fire themselves, which allowed the blaze to get out of control. Officials say the fire quickly spread through a ventilation system.Emergency responders say a bakery worker was severely burned on parts of his body. Four families that live in apartments above the bakery were evacuated due to the blaze.
