Sleepy Hollow restaurant goes up in flames

Fire officials say a Sleepy Hollow restaurant went up in flames Wednesday after a deep fryer ignited.

The fire at Town Tavern Bar and Restaurant broke out just before 1 p.m. in the restaurant's kitchen, fire officials say. Firefighters from Sleepy Hollow arrived within minutes, followed by units from more than six dozen other departments.

The fire, which got into the walls of the building, was declared under control in less than an hour. Adjoining buildings were also evacuated.

Fire officials say no one was hurt.
