Police: Man killed in Monroe accident

Police say a man was killed in Orange County when his car slammed into a utility pole.

According to police, the driver of an Acura may have been speeding on Lakes Road in Monroe when he lost control of the car and slammed into the pole, knocking out power to hundreds of homes in the area. Police say the 37-year-old man was thrown from the car on impact.
