No Spano vs. Spano in county executive race
After months of campaigning to challenge his father, the son of Westchester County Executive Andy Spano didn't receive enough signatures to appear on November's ballot.
David Spano, 49, first appeared on the political stage last April when he teamed up with the controversial publisher Sam Zherka. The two launched a campaign pushing for tax cuts and the elimination of county government.
"By running for county executive, I intend to be the last county executive," David Spano declared in a TV ad.
The Democratic Party, however, backed Andy Spano, and David never received enough signatures to get his campaign off the ground.
