Wolf pup to make debut at Wolf Conservation Center in South Salem

The Wolf Conservation Center in South Salem is celebrating the arrival of its newest family member.

The 7-week-old, 10-pound wolf pup named Nikai was born to parents out west and was brought here a few weeks ago.

Nikai joins his 3-year-old siblings, Zepher and Alawa, in the very important job at the center as education ambassadors for the center. "The wolves raise awareness to inspire and to really open the door to understanding what wolves are," says the center's Maggie Howell.

Nikai will make his public debut at the Wolf Conservation Center this Saturday.
