Wallkill on alert for possible child abductor

Parents in Orange County are on alert this morning as police investigate a possible child luring attempt in Wallkill.

Police say the incident happened at about 7 p.m. Sunday on Lorelei Drive in Wallkill. They say a 9 year-old boy was playing in his front yard when a male driver in a blue pickup truck asked him to hop in. The boy ran inside, and the man drove off toward Whipple Road.

Police say the pickup truck had a picture of green pine trees and a river on the door.

Anyone with information is asked to call Wallkill police at (845) 692-6757.
