Workers at Stop & Shop warehouse in Mount Vernon at risk for layoffs due to relocation

Hundreds of Stop & Shop workers could soon be out of a job.



The supermarket chain reportedly announced that it will be closing its Mount Vernon warehouse on East Sanford Boulevard this September. The company is expected to open a larger warehouse in New Jersey.



It is estimated that 239 workers will lose their jobs, but the company says it will try to find them other positions.
