Police seek suspect who attacked 24-year-old man with baseball bat on Piermont and Hudson avenues

Police are searching for the suspect responsible for a brutal baseball bat attack in Rockland County.

They say they found a 24-year-old Nyack man face down and unconscious on Piermont and Hudson avenues near Memorial Park Tuesday night. Witnesses say the victim was allegedly approached by a group of 25 people who taunted him and threw bottles at him before one suspect struck him in the face with a bat.

The victim was taken to Nyack Hospital for treatment of injuries to his mouth and face.

The assault remains under investigation, and anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information about it is asked to contact Orangetown police.
