Westchester County Democrats are rallying behind Hillary Clinton, and say it's time for Bernie Sanders to bow out of the race.
Democrats gathered in New Rochelle for the party's annual fundraiser Thursday night. The event came just hours after President Obama's key endorsement for the Chappaqua resident.
Numerous Democrats told News 12 that they feel it is important for Sanders to end his campaign and present a united front against the GOP. "He wants his day in the sun. He's had some days in the sun and I guess he's taking it down to the wire but some eight years ago, Hillary had already bowed out," says Westchester Democratic Committee Chairman Reginald Lafayette.
Sanders plans to remain in the race through Tuesday's primary in Washington, DC.
