News 12’s Kristina Cartwright kicks off reading program at Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School in Yorktown

A Yorktown middle school had a special guest reader to kick off the new year.



News 12's Kristina Cartwright read a few pages from the novel "City of Ember" at Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School.



Both students and staff have two weeks to read the entire novel.



When they are finished, the school will come together to watch the film.
