Teen accused in fatal Yonkers car accident dies

The 16-year-old boy accused of leading police on a fatal chase last week in Yonkers has died from injuries sustained in the wreck, police say.

The teen allegedly fled a traffic stop in a stolen van with a 14-year-old girl in the passenger seat.

Police say the chase ended when the teen crashed into another car at the intersection of Warburton and Odell avenues, killing Yonkers resident Sharlene Stinson, 44.

The 14-year-old remains in critical condition.
